Alliemas

Certain foods are consumed during the festival of Alliemas: Crumpets, peanut butter, pizza, beer, wine, cheese, and wraps.

This festival happens on 11th of June every year. On this day Allie was born. Her birth was strange, for her mother was actually a midwife and had assisted in the births of many children of the day. Also it was told that she had drunk a bottle of gin, with the baby’s future godmother when 5 months pregnant and Allie was born fine, looked like other babies. However she would grow up to transform wine into water for most of her young adulthood.

The followers of Allieology begin a fast from pizza and attend Gym daily on the two weeks running up to the holy day. the week surrounding the dates is also known as holy week. On the 11th of June friends and families get together, eat pizza and drink to the health of Allie. the last few days of Alliemas involve early morning trips to the gym to allow for drinking in the day to commence early. It is indeed bad luck to attend Gym drunk.

Presents are sometimes exchanged and cards are given but it is required that any Alliemas card bought should be bought at the last minute preferably just before meeting the recipient. The more last minute the better. Take a pen before you meet them, writing the inscription outside of the card shop is the ultimate emulation of the works of Allie.

If a present is not bought it is promised but with the promiser having no intention of buying the gift. As gift giving is silly but a tradition that is held.

The next day on 12th June, (Rocky day) thank you cards are written.
On the 1st of July the cards are finally sent, but with 2nd class stamps. The card should arrive about 3 to 4 working days later and thus the completion of Alliemas.

It is bad luck keep the cards on show after 5th of July and any lights or figurines of associated pregnant drinking mother scenes should be dismantled. Or bad tidings will befall a household. If dismantled late, the house shall be messy for a week after the scene is finally dismantled.

The festival lasts for 24 days. It is a time for Allieologist families to get together and remember to not eat until stuffed, but to keep some for later when the hunger begins again, and Allie of course.

good manners

Good manners are important in having harmonious relationships in life.

the best rule to stick by in my opinion is
"Treat others as you would have yourself treated"

if in any doubt about an action you are about to take, remember to take a moment to try on their shoes and see if it is wise.

good manners extends to all of the negative treats that we all have. people are naturally balanced between good and bad, if we were all perfect we would be game show hosts. So there is nothing wrong with being a little bit bad sometimes.

being lazy.
if you are like me and prone to being lazy it is nice to lie in bed for a few hours, but if you lie in bed all day at the end of the day you will feel sluggish and have no energy. also if you never take time to be a little chilled out you will have energy but be exhasted and possibly stressed. it is always good to find a nice balance.

coveting.
when we covet we want something that we haven't got at that moment. for example a large house or a fast car. you can make yourself anxious wanting something. also though if you decide to take a vow of poverty you can also catch yourself wanting to be a good Allieologist so much instead of just being a good allieologist. also with maintainig a vegatarian diet.

When going to a house as a guest for dinner, do not demand any particular foods, if they are aware that you are vegetarian they will probably try to cater for you but remember good manners is priceless and should be maintained where possible. if you are served meat, remember the animal is already dead, and not eating will not bring it back to life.

people are capable of also coveting the idea that they are a good person so as hard as it might be, don't covet being a good person too strongly or being a good vegetarian, because it will not always be possible

being an angry person
life is not always fun and people you meet will not always be on your wavelength, sometimes to the point that they make you enraged.
these people are important to meet because life is not always straight forward and they can show you how well you can cope under stress.

the reason to avoid being too angry for any period of time is because no person is happy when they are having a "hairy fit" (one o' me dad's sayings)

when ytou are chilled you can deal with difficult situations, but also meditation is very good for your soul, it can help sleep happen more naturaly.

dietry inclinations

the main points on diet are related to being ethical and maintaining a balance.

when a food is ok to eat as an Allieologist we describe this a being "Awright"

Allieology diet guidelines

no meat or fish.
(don't kill and animal or have anything killed for you( very bad))
(if you are just phasing out meat and fish, the stuff you already have should still be consumed it would be wasteful otherwise

when eating, eat slowly and savour the flavour

only eat foods that you find tasty
(reason: it is bad for the soul if a person is miserable in what they eat)

stop when you are no longer hungry, I find it difficult to just stop and waste food so I save for later when I am hungry again.

good tips when filling up on veggie food, eat beans yum!
here are a list of awright foods

any vegetable,
cheese
grains

it is a simple diet but the following are traditional "awright" foods consumed during rituals or festivals

Pizza margarita, Californian, veggie lovers
past, penne, rigatoni, ravioli, tortellini
noodles, spring rolls,
Spinach, paneer, cheddar, mozzarella, red leister,
nachos, burritos, beans, peas.

Where possible Allie eats her food with chop sticks to help the contemplation that happens during the consumption of certain foods.
